The highlight of the visit was the statements of hope from both sides for the immediate establishment of an Islamic Union. The Egyptian side sought advice on how they could speed up the process of reforming their country, including ways to fight corruption, cleaning up the streets, and improving human rights. Dr. Dardery said that Turkey is a much beloved country for Egyptians and they long to see a stronger alliance both between the two countries and the rest of the Islamic world for permanent peace on earth for everyone.
The governor said that he couldn’t agree more and shared his insight on the Turkish experience and added that as a part of his faith, he doesn’t see himself as a man serving only the Turkish people, but all Muslims throughout the world.
The party then headed to a meeting with the Istanbul Deputy Mayor where they exchanged ideas on how to improve city services. The mayor’s office gave detailed insights as to recent works in Istanbul, and how they managed to change the face of Istanbul completely.
The visit culminated in a live appearance on Adnan Oktar’s popular TV channel A9 together with Adnan Oktar himself. Oktar opened the program saying that they were honored to have their guests and one of the members in the delegation of Dr. Dardery returned the compliment saying that they have known Adnan Oktar (HarunYahya) since they were kids and grew up reading his books and watching his documentaries on plasma screens at the university. Dr. Dardery said that Egyptians have and always will love Turkey and the Turkish people and look up to Turkey as a great model to further their country.

When Oktar asked him about an Islamic Union model which will bring Unity to to the region, Dardery heartily agreed in principle. Oktar said that only such a union would be able to put an end to the confusion and conflicts going on at the moment, as it would harness the power of Muslims under one compassionate, loving and democratic leader who has love for everyone regardless of faith or ethnicities and that only such a union would put an end to radicalism, as this union would be based on a moderate understanding of Islam that is purely peaceful and filled with love, which is the true nature of Islam according to the Qur’an.
Dardery said that Egyptians would love to be a part of that union, and that he cannot wait to see that happen and would do whatever it took on their part to contribute to that.
The Egyptian delegation departed after exchanging traditional gifts and photo sessions.
